How KneeEd uses cookies, and how to manage them.

Last updated: ·Version 2026.05.1

1. Overview

KneeEd LLC uses cookies and similar technologies on KneeEd.com and the current live production site at https://kneed-app.vercel.app/. This page explains the categories of cookies in use and how you can manage them. The KneeEd Privacy Statement describes how the underlying information is handled.

2. Essential cookies

Essential cookies are required for KneeEd to function. They keep you signed in, remember interface choices that affect security, and protect against fraud. Disabling essential cookies will break sign-in and other core functionality.

3. Analytics cookies

Analytics cookies help KneeEd understand how the Services are used in aggregate so we can improve performance, fix bugs, and prioritize features. KneeEd uses PostHog as its primary product-analytics provider; aggregated metrics are tied to a stable user identifier rather than to identifying personal data, and the analytics pipeline does not feed personalized advertising systems.

4. Advertising cookies

Where consent is required and has been granted, advertising cookies set by KneeEd's ad partners (including Google advertising products) help measure ad performance, control how often a given ad is shown, prevent fraud, and report aggregated results to advertisers.

KneeEd does not pass injury, symptom, orthopedic profile, body-measurement, or other health-related information to advertising partners. Advertising on KneeEd is configured for non-personalized delivery for signed-in users by default.

5. Rewarded advertising measurement

When a user opts in to KneeEd's rewarded advertising program by tapping a "Watch Ad" or similar control, the ad network records that the ad was watched and sends a server-to-server notification back to KneeEd. KneeEd uses that notification to verify the watch, prevent reward fraud, and credit KneeEd Coins to the user's account. The notification is the minimum technical signal required to confirm a completed view and does not include personal advertising profile data.

6. Managing cookies in your browser

Most modern browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies on a per-site basis. Search the help documentation for your specific browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, or other) for instructions. Blocking essential cookies will prevent KneeEd from functioning normally; blocking analytics or advertising cookies will limit those categories without affecting core functionality.

7. KneeEd's cookie controls

Use the controls below this page's policy text to grant, withdraw, or change your cookie consent for KneeEd's analytics and advertising categories. Changes take effect on this device immediately and propagate to every ad surface in real time.

8. Future consent management platform

KneeEd may later integrate a third-party Consent Management Platform (such as Cookiebot, iubenda, OneTrust, or Google Privacy & Messaging) to handle regional consent rules at scale. When that happens, the CMP's interface will replace the in-house controls below without changing the underlying cookie categories.

No choice yet — the banner will appear on your next visit until you choose.

KneeEd does not share injury, symptom, orthopedic, body-measurement, or other health-related information with advertising partners. Whether or not you accept advertising cookies, your health data is never used for personalized ad targeting. If KneeEd later integrates a third-party Consent Management Platform, that interface will replace the controls above without changing the underlying cookie categories.
